Getting HCG Meal Plans Right

While there isn’t very much eating while on the HCG diet program, there is eating. And it’s very strict eating. Sticking to it is much easier if you give yourself some variety. That’s why finding good, simple, yummy recipes appropriate for the program is so important.

Start with your beverages. You’re supposed to drink strictly tea, coffee and water. But if you follow the recommendations of most of the HCG diet programs you’ll have a variety of Stevia drops at your disposal. Try dropping a flavor in your next glass of water to make yourself some zero calorie, sweetened, and flavored water. It’s a nice change and it helps you get all the water in that you’re supposed to incorporate throughout the day.

You get 2 servings of fruit each day as well. Many HCG dieters incorporate their fruit as their mid day and after dinner snack. This variation on the apple makes the perfect addition to the diet (especially if you like apple pie).

Cut one apple in half. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon; or douse the top in cinnamon depending on your own preferences. Put both apple halves on a microwave safe plate and microwave them for 2 minutes or so. (They should be warm). Whip it out and dive in. You’ve got yourself a healthy dessert on your hands; the Warm Cinnamon Apple. It’s fantastic.

And for the main dish…try No Pasta Spaghetti Sauce. Grill your lean meat (any variety…it works best chicken or beef). Get a couple tomatoes and put them in a saute pan on medium and cook for about 5 minutes. Throughout the 5 minutes take the back of a spoon and smash the tomatoes randomly. When they’ve been cooking and being smashed for about 5 minutes the tomatoes should resemble a really thick spaghetti sauce. Go ahead and add the meat and then throw in some spices. We like to add garlic salt, onion salt, and some Italian seasonings (about 1/4 tsp of each).

Mixing it up with a few good recipes can really make a difference. So look around, find some online forums where you can share and exchange recipes. Access the tools presented by your diet program. Do anything you can to make it easier because the easier it is the more likely you are to benefit from the process.
