Bucks County Experts on Lower Ab Exercises – Isolation Is Not The Answer

Is it possible to get six pack abs by doing lower ab exercises? The answer is no. Doing lower ab exercises will not get you six pack abs. To get well-defined abs, we need to focus on increasing our metabolism through our diet and increasing our exercise program.

Doing lower ab exercises can strengthen the lower abdominal, hip and back muscles, thus preventing injuries, but exercises focusing on that one area alone cannot tone and expose those abs.

Training the problem area directly will not burn the fat found in that area either. What we need to do is train the whole body so that excess body fat, especially around the stomach area, can be burned as fuel and used as energy.

To get well-defined abs, we need to increase our metabolism. Through our diet, we need to make sure we eat quality foods that our body can easily burn. When our body is able to burn the food we eat, it will then burn the excess fat that we have for further energy production.

Eating several times a day will help our body maintain its energy levels and help stabilize our blood sugar. Also by consuming smaller meal portions, we can control the amount of calories we consume and help our body utilize the calories with greater efficiency.

Exercising is a great way to increase our metabolism. Resistance training has a way of making our muscles adapt to the increased demands, which results in greater metabolic activity. When the body has increased metabolism, it becomes more efficient at burning fat and utilizing the excess fat as fuel.

Meanwhile, engaging in anaerobic interval training builds explosive and highly reactive muscles that require more energy. Thus, increased muscle activity allows our body to be more efficient in burning excess fat stores, leading to continued fat burning even hours after training.

Doing lower ab exercises in isolation is simply not the answer to getting toned and visible abs. However, having a smart eating plan and regular physical activity can boost metabolism and send us on our way to achieving six pack abs.
