‘Only wine can soothe our unhappiness.’ This is a ancient Chinese saying. Wine is always regarded as a ‘soul-pain killer’, but does it only mean that? I am quite an alcoholic although I never drink to get drunk, wine means lots for me.
Most people drink wine when feeling upset. I like to drink when I feel desperate. Drinking of course cannot help to tackle problems, but at least, after drinking I would just feel sleepy and after having a good sleep, I can get back my energy the day after to continue my work and to tackle trouble.

Ancient Chinese people have a say, ‘What can most effectively help us feel better when we are upset? Only wine can do that.’ Does wine just mean a ‘painkiller’ of soul? I admit that I am an alcoholic (but I never allow myself to get drunk), wine means a lot to me.
Often, we drink when we feel depressed. When I feel very unhappy, I like to drink a bit. Wine cannot help solve problem, but when I drink a bit, I gradually feel a bit dizzy and too tired to think too much about the trouble.
